Associate Professor of Education, Department of Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education, College of Education Graduate School Morehead State University, Morehead KY; introduced to UDL over 20 years ago in Texas, as an Education Specialist for the Texas Education Agency. Now teaching in a college of education, teacher education program for over 15 years, trained by CAST and David Rose in 2011, created the first UDL graduate course I continue to teach, online, using the brilliant eTextbook UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING: THEORY AND PRACTICE.  Currently finding UDL especially relevant as teachers, counselors and administrators take this course and are making bold differences in their classrooms and schools to benefit ALL learners. In 2015 in Finland on sabbatical studying Finnish education and taught the first UDL class there in 2017. Trained in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Decker finds UDL is helping to make sense of a world as educators awaken to being Mindful Educators.
